I bought the drivers and cross-overs from these speakers in an attempt to re-create the sound of the system on which I first heard Duane Allman and Jimi Hendrix' guitars. I would like to know what the dimensions of the cabinets were, or at least how to figure out what an appropriate size would be. In searching this forum, I realize you folks would dissuade me from re-building these, but that is truly my aim! Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance, Mark
Hi, they look like they would be sealed boxes, reasonably stuffed, 🙂/sreten.
edit : the above looks like it has replacement midrange drivers.
old Fishers are good!
My wife inherited a pair of these about 30 years ago.
I determined that the tweeters were either blown, or padded
way down.
I replaced the tweeters with a Morel tweeter, and they sound good
to this day. Avery Fisher did good work back then.
If you have the original crossovers, you probably need to replace the electrolytic caps with poly caps.

Interesting sound. Can play loud. Solid sounding bass. A bit rough frequency response, but sounds very exciting and musical anyway. I'd place them as a very very 60s 70s sounding loudspeaker, tough and gutsy for classic rock. I like them best on Saturday night after a few beers with Arrowsmith, Cream, and Otis.
