My RH-84 work in progress. Since the choke had stainless steel bolts as delivered I changed my "housestyle" for the power transformers to stainless bolts as well. Also the power switch is stainless and the mesh of the PT. And the speaker binding posts also look a bit like stainless...I decided to keep the "design language" 😀

hello Bas:
Your work keeps getting more and more refined. The presentation lines are clean and simple. You have developed a style that is becoming your own.

Design thoughts to consider:
Isolate the choke and transformer from the top chassis with white nylon washers. May not be needed but can not hurt.
Use right angle speaker terminal plugs to get away from the big loop effect of straight plugs.
Sub chassis heat will need to be managed. Longish cabinet legs to get max amount of passive air flow below may help. If things still get hot you may need a 6v mini fan to move air around down below or venting in the top plate.

Thanks for sharing I love it.

Best sounding one yet. Could be everything together. Slightly lower b+ (270vdc). Choke input. A few non magnetic resistors (feedback/cathode resistors 12at7/grid stopper el84's). Not using terminal blocks but soldering straight to the pcb. Audio Note Kasei (polar) cathode bypass for the EL84'S. JJ psu capacitor. And very likely the Miflex coupling caps kpcu-01. And perhaps the Raytheon 12ATWA Export. The rest I have all used before. Sony r2r OT and Russian 6p14p-ev.

Stylish oak and anodized aluminum a box that actually resembles my old building style with a recessed top plate, simple and stylish that I still like.
