I recently purchased a pair of Peerless PLS-P830985 with which I wanted to make very small speakers for the computer workstation.
I had seen a fairly famous design in Japan:

No information can be found on a possible diy construction on your own, I tried to extrapolate some information but wondered if anyone here has already tried their hand at such a project.

Here is a plan, but not such a small enclosure as you might want:

Using the published specs from the link below, you'll get about 3 dB of bass boost if you put it in a 1.0 liter (net) vented box, tuned to 90 Hz. (0.50 dia x 1.50 Long port)
The boost will rise from 85 Hz to +3 dB at about 150 Hz, and then subside by about 300 Hz.

Another option.

Yeah, at this small, might as well let verderame set a max HxWxD o.d. box size and he can ~aperiodically tune it to 'taste'.
The measurements I had in mind are not that far from the design proposed by nandappe, we can assume max HxWxD 20x13x13.Yeah, at this small, might as well let verderame set a max HxWxD o.d. box size and he can ~aperiodically tune it to 'taste'.
Nandappe, I assume your comment was ironic, as far as I can tell from a video on YT they don't sound bad at all, this could be a viable option.
In the end, this is the result! It took me a while to arrive at the final result, the construction itself was quick, all material I already had at home, 10mm mdf for the case, I already had the connectors and the metal plates I used for the connectors are also old parts I already had. The only real expense is the drivers and the paint.
I have been listening to them for quite some time now and I must say that for their size they are really amazing! I'm really impressed, no joke, the reproduction quality is really good not to mention the bass...but how does this mini driver do such a job?
Bear in mind that I normally listen with jeff bagby kairos + sub. I tried connecting these mini speakers to the subs of the Kairos and they gave me some nice satisfaction. Obviously all this in the nearfield and at low volume.
Thanks nandappe!

Thanks verderame,
It's a shade of rose color that I don't often come across in Japan, but it's to my liking.

I retrofitted an old iPod dock clock radio with a Peerless aluminum cone P830986 3.5in, plus foam padding, and a BSC filter. It sounds so much better now. It’s a very small box.

Hi nandappe,
after the pleasant experience in the construction of these mini speakers I had the intention of making small rather narrow towers to be used as a stereo system for a projector, among your projects I've seen interesting things like:
STAG-T8 series
STAG-T5 series
[s04]MS-802T-mk4
[s08]TB-10F_01
The size of the baffle should not exceed 15cm, the less the better.
I was looking for something that had a fairly natural timbre and a decent extension on the low notes and was effective on film speech. do you have any advice for me? Thank you.

For movie speakers, I want more than 4 inch.
For natural sound and extended bass, DDVP-10 is recommended.
It is no problem to make the width (154mm) 10mm narrower.
It would be interesting to make it with 144mm width and install FOSTEX FF105WK.
