FWIW, Kangchenjunga is my favourite of the 110 vented enclosures that I designed for the MA site, but if you want a compact standmount, this ain't it. 😉 Note sketch not to scale.

Here's basically what I posted awhile back on another thread as a guideline......Can you describe it please, the HornResp file is somethign i cannot read. I will draw it.

So, it looks like what I posted is mostly correct? (if you didn't click on the spoiler text, here it is un-spoiled, edits mostly formatting and the question on the port).
Horizontal cross section area = 503.95 cm2
Length Top to Driver = 19.56 cm
Length Driver to Port = 32.60 cm
Length Port to Bottom = 3.89 cm ... ~3" round port, but see below?
Area of Port = 50 cm2 ... if round ~3-1/4" or 80mm ?
Length of Port = 20 cm
Acoustic Path Length = 32.6
System Volume = 29.246 L
Driver parameters were:
Sd = 109.00
Bl = 5.85
Cms = 1.46E-03
Rms = 0.86
Mmd = 8.24
Le = 0.12
Re = 6.80

There's some misc. stuff missing, but not required nor the driver specs for just doing a cab drawing. 😉
The vent is a rectangular duct, though a 3" dia. i.d. pipe is acoustically identical.

Thanx,

Vent is rectangular so that it can use the bottom as part.

Note that due to Scott’s house issues he has not yet vetted these.

Looks good to me (lovely work as ever, Dave!), but will double-check 1st thing in the morning before the builders start in again. 🙂
Kangchenjunga is a beast of a mountain. Beautiful, though. I'd love to see it at some point. Although the climbing, I'll leave to those better qualified. And a whole lot fitter. 😉

I'm impressed you guys can move a 1.5m-torque 50lb cab sans base & driver. (I'm 6' and practically move heavy book boxes for a living.)
Some feedback on the plans via email Dave. All basically fine, some minor tweaks to one dimension & text only. 🙂
PDFs in Post #28 have been updated with some mnor bug fixes.

How about the St Helen's vented box from the image below, does anyone have more information about it ? It looks like a some form of a hybrid MLTL, but I'm not sure. What would be the correct positioning/placement in a room ?
Thanks for the reply, Do you happen to know if anyone built it already and their listening impressions ?
I know of a couple of builds, but no listening impressions. They probably wouldn't be a great deal of use though, since the systems and rooms will be completely different & opinion being what it is... 😉 Midband & HF 'are what they are'; it's really only the LF range that's affected by the enclosure, relatively minor differences in diffraction etc. from different sized baffles notwithstanding.
I wonder if Scottmoose would have change Pensil today?
I am thinking about Bluebuck.
Can you do a box like Bluebuck for 12p and 11MS and Maop10.2?
