Welcome, mbose. You're on the list!
Incidentally, we're at 60 boards now. Impressive!

Hope this all works out ok. It seemed to work for the other buy. Thanks, Randy. I like this idea. It gives me a get-out-of-jail-free card in case something goes wrong, and represents a reasonable step-based approach.
Rolandonng, you have been added to the list.
Like Mark was saying, there were unexpected expenses. I overpaid for the deposit so I wouldn't have to pay again, but still ended up owing a few bucks.
You shouldn't have to take a financial hit for your troubles.
Randy
Hi blek stena.
If the package is sent directly from the US, there is a 4 lb weight limit (1.8 kg) for the first cost tier, and I do see Croatia on the list. I don't know what the weight of the boards is exactly, but I guarantee that 4 boards will not weigh 4 pounds. If we use US postal First-Class Package International, then the minimum cost is $15.75 excluding any insurance we might want to add.
There is a US postal type of first-class mail international, but it is only for flat documents.
4 pounds is quite a lot. JLCPCB shows that sending their minimum 5 boards to still be well under that value. There are 3 members in the EU requesting boards. I could probably package up three separate orders with addresses, send them to one of you in the EU and have you split out the orders upon arrival and forward them to the other two members. This will mean, of course, that I'd have to forward some funds to cover that second leg of the shipping, bit I would think it would cost far less than $15-20 USD each. Seems a little tweaky but we should consider this as an option.
If anyone in the EU is interested, let me know.
UPS and DHL - I tried a few quotes on their site. The prices start at $178 USD which is insane. I might be missing something!

bhjazz thanks for shipping info.
I just checked the costs if i order the PCBs directly and the difference is small and IMHO not worth the efforts so i will make direct order. So please remove me from list (4 pieces).
If someone from EU has spare time it could be worth organizing EU based GB.
Thanks to all,

Thanks to all,
What you are doing makes sense. I understand and will take you off of the list.
Also, just note a couple of things:
JLCPCB is not the only place in the world that manufactures boards, so you may be able to find someone in the EU who can do it for an even better cost.
JLCPCB has a minimum order of 5 boards, so that's only 1 more than you originally needed. Sell that last one to a friend in the EU!

Requests are trickling in at 1-2 per day.
At the end of next week, 2/24/2023, I will likely close the request phase of the group buy and move on to the next phase. If you are on the fence, your time is running out.
Thanks!

I just realized that I can edit the first post of the thread, so I'll go add the current list out there and keep it updated. Yay!
