Are Cables Really Directional?

so where is the science reports that proof it is not directional? The video is yet another anecdotal story .
The sentence "Problem is there's a little thing called reasoning. Smart people use it, others not so much. The adagionSome are wise, some otherwise holds as true as it did when first uttered" can be explained in both directions (aka it is snakeoil or not), it does not give a conclusive outcome.

Again, you have it backwards. Gene's video is not anecdotal at all. He is presenting a set of scientific facts.

What is entirely anecdotal, on the other hand, are all of the claims that people hear a difference.

Try this scenario out for size...

A listener hears an issue and wants to test the interconnects, they have an old spare, changing it improves the sound.

Later, they decide this cable is loose and problematic so they change back to the original and now it sounds good. Later, it goes bad again and they go to change it with the system still turned on and before they can pull out the connector it comes good again.

In the meantime they are convinced that cables make a difference when it isn't the case.

so, where is the definitive proof it is snake oil, or not?
The burden of proof is on those that claim the idea has validity. Instruments are impartial and there are no measurements that support the claim. Subjective opinions have no weight. I could claim to be God but intelligent people will know I'm joking or crazy. Show us a measurement that supports the idea that we can investigate and replicate, and then maybe we will take it seriously.

I can't say that I have ever had quite that experience, although I imagine some people have.

My main purpose in posting this was to make people aware of Gene Dellasala's comments on speaker cables, where I believe that largest amount of misunderstanding exists.

And if cables themselves weren't enough of a problem, then there is always the ridiculous idea of 'tube connectors' as discussed ad nauseum over on the official snake oil website, AudioCircle.

Please point to the research documentation. Sofar your statement does not add to a firm conclusion.

You keep getting it backwards over and over again. The burden of proof rests with the people who claim that they hear a difference in the face of all the science that says no difference exists.

So please stop trying to put the burden of proof where it doesn't belong. If you want to provide documentation that there is a difference, then others would like to see it. To the best of my knowledge no such documentation exists.

All i asked was "so, where is the definitive proof it is snake oil, or not"
In your replay you mention "all the sciences that says no difference exists"
So can you point me to that science? Because that is all i asked.

Gene Dallasala has made multiple videos debunking the snake oil cable myth. Here is another one in addition the one posted above:

And there are more as well. How many do you need?
