I do not claim to have golden ears. I am a 67 year old Man, who cleaned roofs for most of my life, so I was never exposed to excessive sound levels.
I have never heard any differences in sound with various speaker cables. Yet I have some really Fat ones from MIT that look like large snakes, on my floor.
I have compared these big *** MIT Cables with Zip Cord, and never heard any differences.
Then WHY do I have them ?
Because my good friend will flat turn off when listening to my system with Zip Cord!
In fact, though I use a Yamaha Receiver as my preamp to drive whatever amp I am using at the time, if my friend is coming over to listen, I have to put an old 2 channel preamp that does NOT use any OP Amps,, because if I don't, he will refuse to listen to my system with me!
Of course, he does not come over much, and my Cat thanks him! The large thick MIT Speaker Cables have literally scared my poor Cat to death! I have seen her forget the cables are there, see them, then go several feet in the air vertically!
They scare her!
One day, he came over, only to discover the amp I had connected did not have a power card as thick as a fire hose hooked up to it. So yes, I have one of those, I just forgot to hook it up that day! I installed the Huge Power Cord, yet he still refused to listen, saying the power cord needed a few days to "season".
LOL, he lent me some interconnects once that had arrows on them, to tell you the direction of current flow. Just to mess with him, I told him I had the arrows going towards the pre amp, LOL
He told me that I "ruined his interconnects", until I told him I was just messing with him!
He is a good guy, and a longtime friend, and not a stupid person either.
I almost feel sorry for him ......

With friends like that, who needs enemies? Make your friend join the Suncoast Audio Society instead of freaking out your cat.

He is pretty introverted, so I doubt he would ever join. When I was a Kid, I had a friend who would intentionally try to sneak up on Cats, and place whole Cucumbers near them. It seldom failed, because as soon as the Cats saw the Cucumbers, most went vertical!
The speaker cables I have out when my friend visits have the same effect on my Cat.

Well, here in Florida we have a lot of heat and humidity. It takes BOTH to make a roof dirty. Roof Cleaning is unheard of in Phoenix because even though it is hot, there is no humidity. What happens is a type of Algae starts to grow on the roof. It starts out Green, and we call it Mildew, as it matures, we call it Mold.So the only question remaining is, why clean a roof?
It can make a roof look terrible. Most communities here in Florida are deed restricted, and will make you clean your roof, or else!
Since you asked, I will post some pictures if a dirty roof, and one we cleaned, so you can see the difference roof cleaning makes.
Deed restricted means that when you move into a community, you agree to abide by their rules as far a keeping your property up.What's "deed restricted"?
OMG, Cal! I lived in Seattle 20 years, and have been to Vancouver too! You guys have MOSS out there, and it is some nasty stuff compared to the Algae we have here in Florida!Yes, a nice story to read on a Sunday afternoon. While I don’t spend time with persons like that I do know of them.
Since I am someone who instructs persons to clean their roof and eavestroughs, I don’t have to ask why.
Cheers
Here in Southern Ontario we have municipal bylaws requiring certain rules of property eiquette be upheld but I have yet to see a roof being "cleaned". Here it's mostly about lazy home owners not mowing their lawns or clearing their sidewalks of snow in the winter.
Oh, and those like my next door neighbour who seems to think obnoxious weeds are an enhancement.

Oh yeah, roof cleaning is important! I've spent a lot of summers in the Smoky Mountains and mold and moss will take over a roof. Having recently moved from Florida to Panama, roof flora is no stranger to me. Sidewalks, too.Well, here in Florida we have a lot of heat and humidity.
Hope the Romex is also fat. What about the incoming mains?I do not claim to have golden ears. I am a 67 year old Man, who cleaned roofs for most of my life, so I was never exposed to excessive sound levels.

Never any pressure washing, but yes, a lot of Boom Lifts. Covenants are just another name for deed restrictions, same thing.Ka7niq, was your work a lot of pressure washing and boom lifts?
OH, I forgot too add he has changed out a his stereo AC Power outlet, but I love to mess with his head! I am a Ham Radio Operator, so I have several 6ft long outside ground rods to ground the chassis of my Ham Radio Equipment. Just to mess with him, I actually grounded my stereo stuff to outside ground rod so I don't have to listen to any radio stations mixing in with my audio, LOLHope the Romex is also fat. Yep, and the stuff on your sidewalks and driveway can be stuff that was on your roof that gets washed down by the rain and windOh yeah, roof cleaning is important!
