No typical build because all the guys built amps with different components, to ensure low distortion results, stability and compatibility etc.Apologies if its been covered in this thread before, Is there a "typical example" build that has been done detailing all PS caps, TX and semi's to use? i.e. taking the options out of the BOM
Caps are an issue because stock is very low everywhere. That is why there're options in the BOM. Pick your favorite.
As a starting point, decide if you will use the amp for low impedance speakers and then go to the second sheet in the BOM. The tables will show you the output/ driver transistor options and maximum rail voltages. There is a lot of information there.
Generally speaking use: Pre-drivers KSC3503/KSA1381 and Drivers MJE15032/33 but check compatibility with output transistors from the second sheet.
Hope that helps but if you're stuck send me an email.
Hi Guy's
Just letting you all know that the PCB's have been shipped from China to Australia and the USA.
The Australian shipment contains the ones that will be sent to the EU.
I will sort that out once it arrives.

Any thoughts on ranking some of the 71v "difficult speaker" transistors?
Looking at,
2SC5200OTU/2SA1943OTU Cheap, easy to get
MJL4281AG/MJL4302AG Have to wait a while
2SC2922/2SA2922 Expensive
Thanks, David.

*My preference for 71 Volts and difficult loads:
1. 2SC2922/2SA1216 (obsolete, hard to get)
2. MJL4281AG/MJL4302AG (long lead time)
You need to drill your own holes to mount the above transistors in the heatsinks.

I find the Momentum Stereo from Dan D’Agostino Master Audio use it.For the o/p stage I ordered 2SC6145A and 2SA2223A from Digikey and Profusion

I am trying to put together a parts order for the semis, minus the outputs. Is there any BC549cta in stock out there or in someone's parts bins that I can purchase? Is buying 30 or so of each of the small transistors enough to get good matching? Or can someone here sell me pre matched BC549/559CTAs? Just seems pretty inefficient for us all to buy that many extra for matching, and price gets way better when you buy 100+. I would offer, but currently don't have a way to match Hfe (yet). buying pre-matched would save me that investment, too. Please PM me if you can offer pre matched devices.
Q11 in the BOM lists KSA1220AY but I'm unable to find such a component. Is that a BOM mistake? Should it be KSA1220AYS?
Element14 seams to have plenty in stock. Try using octopart to find stock.I am trying to put together a parts order for the semis, minus the outputs. Any concerns using MULTICOMP PRO BC549C?

For selecting parts, it's easier if you use the Mouser or Alternatives columns in the BOM. You will notice that the KSA1381E are listed and they are used elsewhere in the amp.
Here is another parts search engine that shows who has BC549c(ta) in stock.
Click for BC549c(ta) stock
There are brands other than Onsemi listed, but I am not sure if they are as trusted as Onsemi.

Hi guys, unfortunately C9, part number UVP1J470MPD1TD from Nichicon, is no longer available on Mouser. I found this other one from Rubycon, part number 63NA47MEFC10X12.5, with similar specs. Could it be ok as well?
Gaetano.

Hi Guys,
I have some 2SC5359 / 2SA1987 and 2SC5171 / 2SA1930 from an unfinished Elektor Titan project.
Can be used here ?
Many Thanks
Theo
