Hi Jason,
The classic theme is massively better than stock! For one, the posts cover more of the screen width and it makes it easier to read.
Well done to all!

For starters, the old thread had at least 259 pages and the new one tops out at 146.They work for me with that same search, not sure what the difference could be?
Secondly, the google search results "work" in that they return a page, but they return the wrong page. Any link to a page greater than 146 returns page 146, and the links to pages earlier than 146 of course return the wrong content. None of the links in Google on my search, for example, contain "spindown" when clicked through (because of course they are pointing to the wrong secton of a very long thread.
I mostly like the new look. Generally clean and calm, and I found it easy to find my way around. Props to the members doing this!
One thing I find annoying though in the list view of threads, I think each line item takes up about twice as much space as it needs to. Partly it's the large bold title text (which will spill over to a second line often), and also there's the equivalent of two text lines of white space for each item. Maybe a 3rd option with "List" and "Card": "Compact List"?
A nice to have feature would be a middle ground between the high contrast of light and dark themes. In applications where I can, I usually set an off-white background (for instance in Visual Studio programming IDE).

Hmm, I just got a "ghost" alert after my last post (a "1" over the bell) but when I clicked the bell, nothing was new there and the number went away.
DittoAny way to donate without Credit Card? PayPal, preferably..
I need FastForward button to the last page on the top menu just like before, now i have to scroll down for this button
Thanks Allen, I guess it's time to pull the card ;-)

DIY member Fluid posted some *.gif files in my thread on 2/01/2021, and now these graphics files no longer show up.

Does the new format support gif file format?
Excellent transfer to the new software, by the way.... very nicely done !

Rather impressive modernization of the forum. A little poking around to find where the old features have been relocated, but overall I see no missing functionality for anything I use and the interface is improved, especially the mobile interface is surprisingly functional which is a feat in itself. There is also a dark theme. Well done.
I'd like to see a compact theme that removes most of the empty space around all the UI elements. Not a whole lot of text etc. fits at the same time onto a low res laptop screen, most of the screen space is used up by giant empty margins around everything.
Jim, these are attachments from posts in another thread. I don't have an answer for you but noting this for reference.
I am finding the opposite ,the brilliant white background a little had on the eyes
Maybe a darker dividing line between posts ?

I realise the software needed to be changed, but even in classic mode, it's looking a bit tonka-toy to me. Sorry. For some reason, I'm finding it a bit hard on the eyes, whatever theme I go with. Difficult to find a resolution that suits my desktop & laptop perhaps, although probably better on a mobile (will check that next).
