DIY Sony VFET lottery discussion

Awesome!

I just wanted to thank Mr. Pass, Jason and everyone else on the DIY Audio crew who made this happen. This lottery was loads of fun and was a sorely needed distraction right now. Fantastic job!

Thank you!

A toast to all involved...

Huge congratulations to all the winners. Well done folks. And a massive thanks to Jason, Papa and everyone else involved in making this unique opportunity available to us all. I don’t participate nearly as much in the forums as many of you but feel humbled to be able to learn so much from so many graciously helpful people. I’ve only completed three of Papa’s and Wayne’s designs, but have a few more in the works.

I wasn’t one of the lucky ones this time round, but I’m not disappointed. I’m excited for the next round, and everything that follows after that. I love this hobby and this wonderful community that provides such great support to those with a thirst for knowledge, and an overwhelming desire to build more and more and more of Papa’s creations.

Round two, here we come!

An enormous THANKS to the entire team for the huge effort making this lottery possible!
It was a lot of fun, and that is regardless the outcome.

I expected nothing else but sharing the fun with all of you and didn't think one moment I stood a chance. It turns out I will be extremely fortunate to build a fantastic amp. I am in your debt.

I want to express my sincere thanks to all individuals making this possible and also wish best luck to all remaining participants for the future rounds.

Amazing... must be dreaming... have now to find suitable speakers 🙂

Stay safe

Claude

Congrats to everyone that won! And I really, really appreciate the level of helpfulness and kindness to others on this forum. I didn't win this round and if I don't win the second, I'm still going to try one of the kits available. 🙂

This was a lot of fun to watch and the communication throughout was great!

Everything you read here is true (unless Zen Mod says it) 😉

Check out this link for a simple and apparently good sounding amp:

THANKS. While I am not new to electronics, I am new to building amps and would prefer a kit. That said, ACA seems too basic for me. Slowly starting to absorb some amp building info. The Sony project looks perfect but I was not a winner... Looking at F6. Regardless, I am a patient dude and maybe I will get lucky on 2nd round.
