Hi,
Any one know or have the specs of this diode?
From what I can tell, it's a Phillips 37 JPH SMD melf Glass enclosed diode.
I don't know if it's a standard, zener, or schottky. The equipment manufacturer
Rohde & Schwarz is mum on any parts, informing me the equipment is
no longer made and support has ended.
Google brought up everything except this with all kinds of other stuff.
Attached is a pic of these diodes soldered on the power supply.
It's the one with the Sharpie arrows pointing to it
drawn on the board is shorted measuring 0.002 Ohms.
I'd like to source the original, at the very least, know the specs
so that I can order a like equivalent.
Maybe someone from Deutschland or Netherlands can chime in?
Needing at least one, perhaps a dozen at most (for spares going forward).
Cheers,

Looks like minimelf package, measure the others, if you are looking at the underside of a PSU with some 78xx. If the diode went south there is likely another short somewhere.
Id take a minimelf with 1A and reasonable 50nS switching speed. Nothing special.
You can de-solder another one and test if it is not a zener.1K in series with a bench PSU.
If you feel like putting in the effort, the passives department of Philips semiconductor is now called nexperia, if you search for SOD-80 there and >=1A you may find an old datasheet, the markings were never really changed since the Philips days

Hi Floris, Jon,
I've had 4 replies that just disappeared on me.
Thank you both for the information.
From the date sheet, Jon, along with Floris' recommendations
it's specs:
V RRM-R = 600V
Vf = 1.1 to 1.3V
IF = 1 to 1.5 A minimum
Trr < 250 nS, preferred <20nS
Cd = 20pF.
V(BR)R = 700 V
There is one I have I'm sure. Might not be a minimelf, but no worries
it will fit on the diodes pads.
I'll use on of Mark Johnsons recommendations from Linear Audio V10 LINK
Table of Contents is attached.
I was going to say the ISL9460 series but they are TO-220 etc. wrong
case. I'll figure it out.
Great, just checked stock and no one seems to have the BYD37J,
They are obsolete. Nuts.
Thanks again.
Cheers,

Mouser have them as well.
These will fit between the pads.

Darn you're good Jon, I got only as far as Newark...
Mouser was next on my list.
Cd is good.
It doesn't list Trr which should be < 20ns
These FU1800s have Cd = 10pf and Trr < 35ns
Cheers,
I found these which will work. CD1408 FU1800 SMDs
Have to check the size for pad fitment.

I know it's been years, I have these exact diodes in my SMD pile, was looking what they are and found this thread (and in it the info about them).
If still interested, send me a stamped return envelope (USA) and they're yours.
