Relocating, selling stuff.

Sure, Texas welcomes ex-Californian's as much as all my ex's live in Texas.

Hahaha!!!

It depends on what kind of Californians. Californians like myself? Yes. Californians that voted to destroy the state, them move to Texas to escape the burden, but to do the same? No!

Answering questions on eBay:

It was unfinished prototype that I was working on several years ago. I never drew a complete schematic. I am a professional designer and technologist of radio and electronics equipment, and before I went to low power SE project, I worked on a powerful push-pull amp design. Some pieces I posted on diyaudio.com forum, some I have (probably) in my notebook computer in Texas, I can send them as soon as I arrive there, if they are still there. My nickname in the forum is the same. If you are a novice, please be advised, that voltages are high! B+ is 850V, it can kill! However, if you are an experienced DIYer, you can reuse transformers, they alone would cost more, if to order them from Edcor. Other parts also may be useful. The chassis is light, but hard enough to support heavy transformers properly. They are vented by free convection, and protected from heat radiated by vacuum tubes by a stainless steel mirror. You may like that.

I have seen your ‘ Gubernator 71 ’ around on CL in the bay for a month or 2. Do you have any info or schematic on that one?

When I moved 1 year ago, the guy offered cash for it. So, I sold it for pretty low price in cash. But since he is a reseller of a vintage audio stuff, it is his right to do whatever he wants.
I never drew complete schematics, but I can find some drafts in my notebook in Texas.

My little brother and sister moved from CA to TX thirty years ago.

Little sister wants to move, little brother thinks it's okay.

I always told them when they find Shangi-La to let me know...

eBay and PayPal are no longer linked. eBay will deposit money directly into a bank account. It will also take money from that account to pay their fees and the shipping cost. They don't seem to have all the kinks worked out yet!

So why did they run you out of California?

Never let them have access to your bank account directly. I do all business with eBay via credit card, so that I have the chance to fight them if they try to screw me around.

I agree about transplants bring the same politics that they are running from.
It happened to my last hometown of Missoula Montana.
I am a conservative punker that was a musician & record store owner so I fit in nowhere....
Story of my life.....

Wavebourn, welcome to Texas! I was born here so I am way tooo subjectively biased to be objective, but I hope you feel comfortable in your new home. SY used to live here for an all too brief period but he enjoyed the Austin music scene a great deal.

I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for that house with the warm tube glow! Sadly, I get to hear too many stories from ex-Californians that it just isn't the same California that they knew.

Over 20 years since I am here California have changed dramatically.
We are lucky that people from San Francisco run and keep prices for houses in East Bay, so we can afford selling our house to buy one in Texas.
