I can cover concrete top with silk ?

Matching ensemble with a Thorens Concrete turntable and N1 concrete loudspeakers (€12k for 160kg of curb pavement), finished by a Brinkmann Nyquist DAC with granite base plate.

(old news, there used to be a shortlived British audio brand by the name of Avalance that manufactured a preamplifier plus monaural power amp that had soap stone cases)

Will do.

Got out of hospital before the weekend.
My cerebral capacity is 1% on bad moments, maybe 20% on more enjoyable ones, I may be in need of a hairy Serbian shoulder to cry on.
(if I still could, my brain stem apparantly also pulled the crying switch)

I may be the least memorable member of this club at the moment. I can't read a newspaper, and if i've read a line I've forgotten it the next moment.

We could do a quiz, what happens first :
A - full quadriplegia paralysis with my tongue sticking out (sorta Stephen Hawkins with the brain capacity tank gauge on empty
B - total dementia, again with my tongue hanging out
C - a decade of neurological vision loss, deaf as a doornail (currently >40dB), headache painkillers every 4 hours, and a 24/7 mix of tinnitus that cuts through glass
D - a totally efficient heart attack or equally mortal cerebral vascular accident

I'm told options B and D will give me a woody, so my vote is on D

In the meantime, I'm going nuts at trying to get rid of my parts stock.
End of october paypal limited access to my account because a guy kept sending payments for a number and amount we had not agreed on.
Forced me twice to refund the amount, and I got to pay the transaction costs twice.
Where's the button to block someone on paypal (like the one for AndrewT :clown: )

What's wrong with those people, are they attempting to write a PM novel ?
Looks like I'm good at buying stuff, butt flunk at selling.

Seeing a neurologist in two weeks time for a neuropsychological assessment, to sum up how much cognitive capacity remains, if there's something left for the saving, or what to expect of the time scale for deterioration.

Hi jacco,
I'm glad you survived, but sad you had the accident to begin with.

Short term memory might get better with time. Mine has for sure. It was pretty scary and frustrating for a long while. I also had a brain stem injury along with severely rattled goo between my ears. All I can do is wish you the best, never stop trying to get better than you are.

The brain is a resilliant thing, you seem to be writing ok, hope you bounce back soon. :xfingers:
You could take up painting nudes, you might be the next Picasso :cubist:
