Moode Audio Player for Raspberry Pi

Hi,

Updating moode through system configurarion page does not work. I had to flash a new sd card with the update.
The problem I have is that the playlists are lost and I cannot copy my radio stations to the sd card anymore.

Is there a way to copy the playlists from an old sd card? And how to add a list of radio stations without doing it manually all over again?

Hello Tim, I just am putting together my first rpi based audio system and after reading
a bit, settled on Moode as my audio distro. I would like to ask what is the turn around time for receiving a key after paying for it (which I have gladly done seeing the work you have done and continue to do). And also what is the process for applying for the betas of Moode? I am familiar with linux based audio/mpd/alsa etc, and testing beta's (usually custom android roms).

Running RPi0 with phatdac with latest moodeaudio 3 series.

One minor irritation, I can turn on the volume with the circular icon but immediately flips back to 0, but the actual volume does not revert back to 0.

Do I have to adjust a setting?, a bug?

thanks,

If you are on the latest version, much more likely that you have a corrupt SD card or your web cache needs flushing. Clear your cache first, if no fix, return your SD

Hi Tim,

I'm a NuBi to all this and giving moode a try in my home made wifi speakers running off rpi3 with a hifi berry amp hat on top. Presently I'm running LMS on my PC as a server and using squeezer to sync my multiple speakers which works great. My problem is when I select internet radio in squeezer it doesn't show anything. What am I'm missing?

Did I post my question in the wrong thread?

Hi,

In MPD settings try toggling to Software volume, then back to Hardware volume.

Hi Tim,
I would like tu use a power management board with my rpi.
AUDIOPHONICS PI Power Management / Power supply for Raspberry Pi - Audiophonics

the audiophonics team wrote to me that a script must be implemented in Moode to function properly.
GitHub - audiophonics/Raspberry-pwr-management: This code works with Volumio and Audiophonics Power managment MCU included into DAC I-Sabre V3

Do you think it will be possible to add it to Moode 4.0?

Thank you.

Hi,

I generally leave peripheral device software development, integration and support
up to the user or manufacturer of the device.

Hi,

In moodeaudio.org Purchase section -- "Keys are sent within 24 hours".

The Beta program is currently maxed out with testers.

Hi,

Do you mean "select internet radio" in LMS?

I assume u are running the Squeezelite renderer in moOde.

Hi Tim,

Does Moode support the offical raspberry wifi dongle and if the rpi3 built in wifi can be disabled when using the dongle?

I found that runeaudio shows both wifi but runeaudio can't find any SSID and manually enter it does not work.

If I do the same on Volumio, it seems to disable the built in wifi and works fine.

Hi,

Enjoy some screen shots of the new Bluetooth Audio feature coming in moOde 4.0. BlueMoode core from Soundcheck :)

Yes and yes, but I have to ask ‘why‘? The internal wifi unit in the Pi3 is much superior to the “official” Pi dongle in many, many areas: its more competent in the wireless functions - which equates to much higher rates of throughput, doesn’t use the usb bus, has a shorter data path and quicker packet turnaround...

The only reason I can see to use the dongle is if you have a metal case that’s blocking the signal.

As you’re asking the question, I assume you don’t have one yet and if you really need one, the “official” dongle is certainly past its best and you should consider something a bit more recent.

One issue you will have with the “official” dongle is that it doesn’t support AP mode, so you will have to configure your Pi the old way, via Ethernet.

Hi Tim, I am using a metal case so the throughput is not sufficient for music play back and I dont need AP function.

Help modifying UI

I would like to modify the UI of my Moode 3.8.4 as shown in the attachment.

I use the official Raspberry Display and need a little bit more space.
So I would like to move the Play / Stop menu to the titlebar as on the browse and library page and hide the whole volume stuff because i dont't use the volume control.

But I have no clue in web programming.

Any hints ?

Michael
