Hi everyone,
Just wondering, I'm thinking of designing a 3-way, drivers vertically aligned, with the midrange over the tweeter.
Is there anything unusual about this arrangement I should be aware of?
I know the M to W distance will be unusually large.
Thanks!
E

Maybe post the drivers you want to use. If the crossover point is low enough then the distance isnt an issue.
Hi Bill, not sure yet. 🙂
It's just an idea. I'm thinking of a Scanspeak 6.5" woofer, SB12MNRX25-04 midrange and either an AMT or small profile Be tweeter.

Another idea that is going through my head is setting the midrange at ear level, with the tweeter just beneath it.
I notice myself enjoying music more if my ear is in line with the mids rather than the tweets.

A friend of mine had a desire to own an MTW design and I think there were no gotcha's other than kind of funny looking that way. SS 13M8640, Seas KT28F and Visaton AL200.
