Only if encoded into the source. Nice technical overview, looks like streaming the whole 9 yards will require 18GB/s
Before MPEG4 spatial and temporal compressions. Less than 50Mbps after, to the point that you can distinguish a difference in a comparative test. 30Mbps is already very, very good.
Or you end up with something like this. They look smaller than you expect in the flesh.
WTF, who created this Argus Panoptes monstruosity?
satisfaction of the customer, designer, manufacturer and dealer - what is wrong with it? Everybody involved winsOnly stinkin' rich gullible snobbish idiots will buy it, to the satisfaction of the designer, manufacturer and dealer.

Wrong term "streaming" I meant the HDMI BW even hard to do 15'.

I don't think the WAF is improved by the grill cloths.
We're already seeing compression being used on display buses in mobile. Unfortunately(?) it's going to come to full HDMI and DP products soon enough.

I'm all tears, kind of a Robin Hood activity, get from the richest and help the poorest. Shakti stones, green CD markers, myrtle wood blocks, etc... they can all be looked up as some sort of social services, right?

UHD 101: Demystifying 4K, UHD Blu Ray, wide color gamut, HDR, 4:4:4, 18Gbps and the rest! - Acoustic Frontiers
Just spent a few hours verifying the 18 Gbps performance of a Samsung to Samsung. Actually testing cables. When the source content is good its really good. Youtube is a great source for 4K 60Hz HDR content, however not all the content is what it says it is. Need a decent connection.
Richard, did Comcast pull fiber to your house in Cool? They don't have it in most of the US markets? https://business.comcast.com/about-us/our-network Judging from quotes I got for a custom drop, 1000' was $20K. Your extravagance is awesome.

HDMI 2.0 has 3x6Gbps channels, which aggregated could theoretically provide 18Gbps. I'll buy it when I'll see some credible reports on the 2.0 throughput, for the moment it is all marketing wishful thinking fluff. Migrating from HDMI 1.4 to 2.0 in legacy devices is a nightmare, if at all possible.
P.S. Oh, and football sucks at 60fps, anything under 240fps is hurting my eyes. IMO 60fps is for quasi-static imagery like National Geographic documentaries.

That's £53k of B&O's finest lunacy!
Codswallop, but I suppose sods are buying these.

But, of course it will cost a lot. So does a Patek-Philippe Grand watch etc etc etc. I dont care if only wealthy can afford the best. Is that a reason that it should not be done? Pls.

It actually has some interesting technology in it. I would like to hear it but not interested in exchanging money.

yes

You're only making the case for high end audio being fashion.
My cell phone gets regularly updated from cell towers on a regular basis to keep the time pretty dang close to PST. Magnificently better than any amazingly well designed mechanical watch, even if there is a simple delight in having the wrong time but a statement piece of metal on you wrist. (I think mechanical watches are super cool)
And while my cell phone is fancier than some of the curmudgeons on this forum, it's by no means "high end". 😀

are these your examples of the Best high-end can do today? I think we can do better.

Watches are a very bad example, the best IMO is the correct time easily achieved by a cheap embedded GPS receiver the rest is pure jewelry. The excess strokes the egos of the usual narcissistic crowd of wank*rs. We have customers that want the health sensors adapted to $xxxx shoes because their clients would never put anything less than a Rolex on their wrists.

Sorry but there IS quality at a high level in those watches. Cheap-o wont last 200 years. Nothing to compare in Audio-land

Ok Cell phone then.... who makes the Best cell phone.... someone does. That is what audio needs... the Best in our neck of the woods.

curmudgeons on this forum,
This curmudgeon spent an hour tonight trying to change his windows path variable and getting it to stick, I succeeded, a small victory.
