If there is a more dishonest company than Synergistic Research, I haven't found it yet. [...] Admittedly, scam companies in the audio world are the norm, but these guys, in my mind, really stand out.

How about the totem "beak"? Apparently making well-reviewed speakers isn't profitable enough, so they have to make something to improve their margins.

Just watched that video now i'm curious to know if the three guys placed at centre left and right in the front row affected the sound quality in the room due to reflections and were they an intrinsic part of the resulting sound quality ?

Are you suggesting a listener, by the very act of listening, affects the heard reality?
That opens a new field of quantum phonics, called the listener effect.
I'm only surprised Synergistic Research hasn't addressed this heretofore unknown problem.

Lol it was the " synergy " created by the similarities in their um hairstyles that i was considering as possibly having effects on the sound produced in the room and were they employees strategically placed there as their presence was a integral part of the overall quality . After all i'm sure many of us have purchased kit that sounded fantastic at a demo and once removed from the " perfect " environment sounded completely different... audiophile hairstyles theres a market maybe ... 🙂

I was just thinking that a list of people who buy these types of products might be useful for those in the tweak industry. It might also be useful for anyone who sells any kind of "financial advice", as presumably those who buy things like quantum purifiers have more money than sense.

I was thinking earlier that a useful document for the "industry" would be a list of snakeoily ideas that are just a little too far-fetched to be believed by the target market. So the "industry" could calibrate their product offerings to be just barely on the believable side.

Though it seems lately that coming up with something at all that is too far-fetched might not be possible.😕
