No it's not.
But to use your analogy, Theta make M4s that do go off road as well as on the road.
Only problem is guys who would want the Bel Canto, wouldn't want the Theta.
That's got to be good for Hypex and Class D. Assuming a big proportion of the cost is software development, projected development assuming free upgrades, the fact they think the SQ is good enough for a 25K product has to shine a light on more humble offerings!
Also had some great results with some OPA2132 today great soundstage and tone overall not as good as the 994's but close. Tried the LME49860N last week very shouty and in your face they lasted a couple of minutes!
So after a customer told me he had rewired his Nord One with Neotech Solid Copper Wire with superb results I thought I'd give it a go. What do I have to lose apart from the £15 for the 1M I needed! 😱
Still I'm open to the idea sceptical but willing to be proved wrong, need 24 hours to burn in. (Well the dielectric to form in the correct direction anyway)
Neotech SOCT solid core copper wires
Neotech`s SOCT type wire is 99.999% high purity UP-OCC copper solid core wire, sheathed in red, heat resistant teflon. Can be used for speaker wire, mains cable and general hook up wire, the best solid core copper wire currently available.

Danny Richie also advised me the Neotech to wire my KEF Q100 loudspeakers. I have not bought it because I have been unable to remove the speakers without damaging the boxes!

things are getting extremely slippery
well worth a read http://www.roger-russell.com/wire/wire.htm If you want, you can scroll down to the bit on oxygen free copper

Neotech UPOCC is the best copper. It's all I use.
What makes it better than other brands?

Skeptical enough to do a double-blind listening? Or even (gasp!) measurements?
Van Damme 2X2.5mm Studio, best Speaker wire around in my opinion ;-)
Flexible and cheap, nicely finished

I rewired my cheap Takstar ts671 (105dB/1mW, 120 Ohms) headphones with the cheap Van Damme Tour Grade Classic XKE Starquad microphone cable and Neutrik jack 6.3mm, the sound enhancement was spectacular!

The only SQ issues i can notice are badly designed speakers, severely distorting or under-powered amps. Cant hear differences between wires, opamps, DACs, high sample rate music etc etc...
I should get out of this hobby, clearly not made to get the best out of it

Higher purity copper.
And what is the electrical effect of higher purity copper in your opinion?

That just means you are blessed because you can get maximum enjoyment from your system at minimum cost 🙂

Less resistance for 1. Other than that it's above my paygrade. My ears tell me all the rest of what I need to know.
