Sitting in that promt do:
exit
F7
F7 works outside the uManager. uManager promt is #
I think is correct? 🙂

Same thing when trying to configure the DAM to always use the NOS filter. Or maybe I'm not using the right syntax? I downloaded the PartyPak and want the default filter bank to be NewNOS (bank 4 i.e. F7).
No, I saw that. Just not quite sure whether I understand the syntax of the uManager?
As I understand it, typing "filter = soft" followed by enter/return should do it?
Then exit and power cycle. Or?

I almost typed RTFM... oops I did.. but seriously, there is an manual on the soerkris homepage... It was a month since I twiddled with this...

As a matter of fact I did run over it just today. The filter section anyway. Not much help there. It's hardly a manual.
Would you please care to reveal what I presume is a quite simple command line to set filter bank 4 as the default? For a n00b like me 🙂

Post #1259... sorry, that all I have. Others might know better.
The UX is a shamble I'm afraid.

Yes. But it might be
set filters = soft
filters with an "s"....
Or was it the help description given by ? that has it wrong?

No, set filter = soft is the correct syntax.
filters is for viewing the list of current filters (add all to see all).
# set filter = soft
F7
# filters
07 NewNOS, 44.1Khz Samplerate
11 NewNOS, 352 Khz Samplerate Bypass
29 DC Blocking IIR, 352.8 Ksps, 2 Hz HP 1st order
30 Deemphasis IIR, 352.8 Ksps, 50/15 uS

While you are in uManager, the proper syntax is : set filter = linear (or mixed or minimum or soft)
linear corresponds to F4, mixed to F5, minimum to F6 and soft to F7
It doesn't matter which filters pack you have loaded, the commands remain the same.

The booklet that came with the disc can be download from the DPA site, but is mainly a discussion of miking techniques used.

Hi Paul,
The booklet doesn't seem to be available any more from the site.
Could you please upload it?
Thank you,

I was trying to find out the same information. I am looking to make 2-way linear phase crossover with Soekris DAC, which would include delay to acoustically align LR2 filter between mid and tweeter.
Is there also simple way to invert phase in FIR filter?

Hello everybody,
Someone knows how to set the delay in the FIR filter for the dam1021?

The problem most likely is that you have a certain new firmware loaded and are trying to use filters made for an older firmware. They are not compatible.
ok then what I can do? Where could I find newer filters? The problem most likely is that you have a certain new firmware loaded and are trying to use filters made for an older firmware. They are not compatible.
At the moment there are no new filters available.
Your choices at the moment are to either use an older firmware (one that is not supporting DSD) so you can use the excellent filters made be Paul (moreDAMfilters) or use the latest firmware but stay with the stock filters provided by Soren.
