The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

I don't watch Tv, if you don't count cartoons from youtube. I haven't even watched a movie for a while. The reason is rather simple: not so much free time. When kids go to bed, 9-10 p.m) I often fall asleep as well, since I (we) usually wake up at 6 a.m...
So, I find myself doing 90% of things on my phone...even typing right now...just trying not to forget this hobby...
So...what I wanted to say: I don't care about TV, as long as kids are healthy and happy, and dodoes on pass pub as well :)
I love you all, and I hope that space rock passing by Earth on March 5 won't fall on anyone's backyard :)
P.s. ZM, has your other cat returned? uploadfromtaptalk1455312991118.jpg

I'll take the Anzani W3, keep the rest

Had one of these when I was 18...average price then - c.£70.00

This one sold a couple of years ago for $44K +!!! Mind you, mine was crappy condition. They were very dangerous, yet could - in Ireland and UK - be driven on a bike licence if reverse gear was removed/blanked.

Morgan 3 wheeler with British Anzani 1200cc V-twin.

P.s. ZM, has your other cat returned?.....

huh

after 5 days (first time absence longer than 24h) he returned , pretty tired , limping on both left legs , and swollen area under the throat - typical for cat fights and infections from them

silly bugger didn't stayed in house long enough to take him to vet ; I thought first thing first - let him eat for 5 days worth .......

well , remembering how all boys are having times when brain is situated in pants ...... I just hope Cat's God will save him this year

Buddha is everywhere ....... but he's so obvious in cats ;)

just stumbled on some things on ootoob ( started watching new vids on my fave channel Tatro Machine) , bringing me back in time .........

I was odd kiddoe - while my pars were digging either disco/pop or heavy metal (all Deep Purple derivatives , Motorhead etc. , while Europe type screaming fake eunuchs were later) , I was more like in Outlaws, ABB , Guess Who , Rare Earth ....... with Zepp as sole from so called heavy branch

in same time became obsessed , so scavenging /listening everything different enough - from Eastern native music , to jazz-rock , prog , jazz , opera

life is good ........

I guess that Einstein said it is important to think like kid if you want to discover something new.
Most people, when they grow older, divert all their attention from the stars to chicks :). Then the money comes into equation and screws up everything :)
I still try hard to keep staring at the stars as well :D.

Bummer. Having progress with the lab bench. Seems working out as thought. A big isolation transformer like that has overhead for some serious load so I'm ending with a 245 v mains. But then i have local isoformers as well so I invert them and end up at good levels. Some of my test gear is 220 (my grid averages 233-235) and with some load on secondari ISOs I end up 225. Good enoug. I have also added some turns on some of them so there I go grid level. Great! I have putted 100 nF 100 r over with every switch to ease the poof when turned on. Over mains 2000 VA as well as local 500 VA isotrafos. Since the idle some load i have some 10 vrms on everything while shut off. Is that bad?

Been home with my feverish Sonny now since saturday morning. Now it was his moms turn so she came and got him after work. I sneaked down to the taverna. Is that bad?
