Telepathy

Our subjectivity is not in the same domain as Newtonian or quantum physics.

I think calling upon study/experiment above as a justification for saying telepathy is real is problematical due to problems of scale, domain, observational reliability, and in the case of telepathy - unlike physics - a lack of explanatory theory.

We do get subjectively 'entangled' when we do music together but as far as I know, an explanation for this doesn't require telepathy.

Ken fails to notice the important feature of these experiments, they do not violate causality.

researchers from NIST and several other institutions created pairs of identical light particles, or photons, and sent them to two different locations to be measured.

Before Metal Telepathy, there was Mental Telegraphy. It was Mark Twain's idea. Look it up.
Thinking about someone and the phone rings with that person on the line? That's mental telegraphy. Ditto for letters, email, etc.

I remember a segment in Leonard Nimoy's In Search Of that showcased a phenomenon where a beaker of blood plasma of a person was transported to another hemisphere and at the moment electrical impulses were fed into the person's arm, an analog dvm with probes in the beaker would respond simultaneously. They showed it in real time, in and out multiple times.

Personally, I don't think things look too good for telepathy, right now, as an inter-subjective epistemological process due to its unreliability compared to language, gesture, music, touch.

But I'm kind of mealy-mouthed when it comes to telepathy and causality because I keep remembering Leibnitz's criticism of Newton's theory of gravity - "action at a distance"; "needs a perpetual miracle"; cause? Looking back, WGL got hold of the wrong end of the stick but it wasn't a bad point at the time.

The tough thing for telepathy is the observations are not nearly as good as the astronomical observations of 400 years ago.

I rarely watched that show (probably have only seen one episode), but ...
It was part of that episode that also showcased the uncanny ability of identical twins to experience identical thoughts about each other simultaneously or to know when one is about to contact the other.
I've already mentioned one SF novel. I read a lot of science fiction during my high school and college years (including stories published decades earlier, such as the one below - I'm not quite THAT old). I don't know if it "paid off" in any way other than cementing my interest in science, but I have good memories of fascinating stories.

This novel is about telepathic twins:

Suppose there are two persons with telepathic power. One only knows oriental language and the other only African. How would they communicate telepathically ?

Telepathy is in many cases nothing more than communication between two parties who "knows" each other well. Twins who never met cannot communicate. Twins who live in a house, they know each other well because they tend to have the same taste, characters, etc. so by understanding him/herself he/she will understand his/her twin very well.

I asked KBK to write "quantum considerations" and to circle one of the letter. I tried to understand his psychology or character from his posts, and tried to guess his decision regarding choosing the letter.

I have never met KBK so imagine if I live with him in a house. Many of my friends thought that I'm a psychic and they often thought that I know what's in their head. Most or all the time it is nothing more than intelligence. They couldn't understand what to me is a simple logic. Here is an example:

When I was in senior high school, we, the boys, stood in the hall way in front of the class room. In far away 2 girls were approaching. The school favorite girl was on the left. I told the boys that by the time they passed our class room the favorite girl would be walking on the RIGHT side...

Was it difficult to force the girl to switch to the right? No. I just needed to move quietly and stood in the right position so the girl switched to the side where I stood 😀 (what surprised me was that no one understood the mechanism at work 😕)

I think may be there is something with our brain. Some people call it "middle brain". Ah, forget it....

Nothing to do with telepathy.

If I study you up close 24/7 for a week, I'll even know the phone number of your ancestors, which you don't.
(by merely reading and analysing your posts on this forum, it takes longer. the word for that is not psychic, but more than intelligence)
