Very early on I tried contacting the Cdn local distributor and they
never got back to me.

In Canada maybe distributor have new adress ?
Try ask Jensen directly this be great if someone can sell them at proximity in Canada or New Zealand.

This seems ridiculous as this doesn't need to be so complicated. It also doesn't make any sense not to take advantage of the bulk pricing.
Isn't there anyone in the Los Angeles area that would be willing to swing by Jensen and pick up the transformers? They are located in Chatworth.
Whoever picks them up could split the shipment into 3 or 4 parts, and ship the "groups" to the various volunteers in each country for further distribution. This would only be three or four shipments to handle...
I'd be willing to do it but I'm not in the LA area and am completely buried with work right now. Otherwise I would have already volunteered.

For those who have just found this thread, this is a Group Buy for the Jensen transformer used by Nelson Pass in the Sony VFET amplifier article, model JT-112-LCF. According to Dave Hill, General Manager at Jensen Transformers, that transformer is electrically equivalent to the PC board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. Also according to Mr. Hill, Jensen has just renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.
