those subs has a high qts.i thought for an OB, low qts was preffered.so im wrong?..
I'm no expert (OB) but, to me, with no enclosure surrounding the driver it's like the Qms it's all that is grabbing the driver diaphragm at LF (plus amp/electrical). (Please feel free to correct me...) :D
It can be any you want...

Qtsb > 0.68. (Qts > 0.544)
(installed in speaker/baffle)
Qtsb = Qmsb*qesb/(Qmsb+qesb)
Qmsb = Qms*Fs/Fsb
Qesb = 2*Pi*Fsb*(Re+Rg+Rf)*Mmsb/B.L2
Fsb = 1/(2*Pi*√(Cms*Mmsb)) (lower than Fs in baffle)
Rg (R/amp internal)
Rf (0 for passive components/not used)

I have the Peerless XXLS 12 inch drivers in closed boxes, driven with active EQ and a 4 pole active crossover, making them acoustically flat down to 20HZ. I run them up to 100HZ were they crossover to my open baffle satalites.

These may be a best buy at around $200 each. Linkwitz used these (the 10 inch version I think) in his Orion when it first came out, then he changed to the much fancier looking and much more expensive Seas drivers. When you price a speaker between $5K and $17K, it better be very amazing looking. I'm not sure there is much difference sound wise.

i only have 1 kicker (pulled from my car :D ).that's why i'm asking here if i can use this on an open baffle or not :) .this kicker needs pretty big enclosure and i have no enough room if i use enclosure :)

my budget also in tight position :p .currently i have a pair of taiwan driver (no brand, 5.5", have a phase plug, 5 Ohm DC resistance) and a 6" driver pulled from panasonic hifi (the cone is pretty stiff, rubber surround, around 2" vc, and 7Ohm DC resistance)

i'm searching for affordable driver for the lows :) .my friend offered me a pair of Celestion AP12 for $100.

now i have 2 choice.i bought local brand (ACR), or this NOS driver?

BeauB,
Amazing comment because it's available locally from my post#4 link #AU (essentialaudio.com.au) for OP.
Actually it's in the top of list for OB, of more than a dozen 12" Peerless products.
And if it doesn't work or he doesn't like it, it's excellent for a different design ie., sealed or quarter wave. :D
Note that there are 2 versions both good and very much the same (Fs=28Hz vs. Fs=31Hz).

I have just started building the Manzanita (at least I've ordered the parts). Although not yet, I will shortly have some experience with the Peerless in OB, and I'll be happy to share my (very novice) experiences.

It's not a good idea.
That product (Kicker ES124) is better used in a sealed or quarter-wave/TL type to take full advantage of it's parameters.

I am actually going to disagree here. With a Qt of .55 it should work well enough on an open baffle. If you read what Lukasz Fikus says, a driver of a Qt as low a 0.3 will work as a sub. It will not go low as easily as drivers with higher Qt specs, but I still think it will work well enough. Try it in an H-frame. I say go for it.
