Links to threads not working

When I click on links in full-range forum for any thread, I get message "Page not found". I noticed that the links are producing html script that looks inconsistent with the link that appears for example on a google search (which works).

For example a search in google for "Karlsonator diyaudio" will produce this link which works. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/239386-karlsonator.html

But if I go to the full range forum home and click on the Karlsonator thread, I get this link, which appears to be a php script rather than a direct html address. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/showthread.php?t=239386 And this does not work, other than to produce this message: "Page not found"

This happens to almost all the links, starting this morning. I am wondering if it is affecting others. I have the problem from Android, iPhone, and also a PC. So it is not the device.

The links to PM's works fine however. I believe it has something to do with the php script not working.

Thanks,
X

I reported the same thing this morning in another thread,

but it just did it again. Shut down my browser, killed my wifi and started over from scratch. Bingo, but not thoroughly tested with other forums yet. Will add I don't use cookies so I'm always logging in. Not a problem just letting you know 🙂

Forum re-direct errors

Hi,

I have seen similar problems. Signing in didn't help. Rebooting didn't help.

Here is an example for a re-direct from one forum page to another that does not work:

--------------------------------------------

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/showthread.php?t=239338&page=8

Error: HTTP 404 Not Found

--------------------------------------------

Going from the same forum page to the same destination by editing the URL (changing ...-6.html into ...-8.html) works fine:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/239338-mini-karlsonator-0-53x-dual-tc9fds-8.html

---------------------------------------------

Regards,

Edit the url and it will work. For example here's a link that will not work. (I added a couple of spaces so it will display the whole thing instead of truncating.)

ht tp://www.diyaudio .com/forums/subwoofers/showthread.php?t=240102&page=2

See the subwoofers/ part? That's the subforum the thread is located in. Delete that so it looks like this:

h ttp://www.diyaudio .com/forums/showthread.php?t=240102&page=2

...and then hit enter and it works.

Pano posted in the other thread that the url is doubling up but that's not the issue I'm seeing.

links: threads and their page numbers Broken

Hi,
I think you are prolly aware by now that links aren't working. Just wanted to say that this includes the links given for various pages of a thread. Starting with a google search might land you on a particular page of a thread, but when you click the link for the next page at the bottom of the page you just read, a message appears; "page not found", if I remember correctly. Thank you for your time in this. - Aubrey

Yeah, thats strange... Worked when I posted, but not a few minutes later.
Forum added needless junk to the link somehow, and broke it again...

Does not work (what you get when you click typical broken link)

Works (workaround exactly as I edited and tested it before)

Does not work (how the forum helpfully mangled my working Post#2)
