If you want to try build this amp..please don't change anything... you should build this amp same with the schematic. don't change R, C or transistor. you can change capasitor and resitor ( by serial and paralel if you dificult to find it ). output transistor can change with sanken 2SC2922 and SA1216 or MJ15003 and MJ15004 or 2SC5200 and 2SA1943. the voltage off this amp is 55Volt CT. so ..don't change. this amp is AB class but powerfull. it can drive 18 inch speaker... sorry my english not good.

MATRIX 1.4 is technology the most efficient audio power amps of power. This is the point in studying the physical sciences since the age of 10-years.
When the other children still to fly kites in the fields, instead of the Inventor MATRIX 1.4 was only 10 years has begun to struggle with the schematic diagram and geometry bipolar transistors.

If there is a judge MATRIX 1.4 is controversial, then the people who thought the controversy was just not able to understand the secret behind the phenomenon formulation MATRIX 1.4.
[[[Have them formulate the timing of such phenomena in the real strengthening of the real, announcing they were about physical phenomena-effectiveness, strengthening the definitive, or more natural phenomena that can be theorized-defined-even-amplifier is realized as the inventory model of a modern high-power analog signal and design an effective range of 1.4 MATRIX? We took 15-years to 20 years to solve the secrets of science and Inventor MATRIX 1.4 has gone through these times.

Amplifier

With a split 77v supply your TIP41/42C drivers will smoke. They are rated at 100v Vceo and even if graded will at best do 120v.

This is a crude circuit with high open loop gain and oscillations waiting to occur.

No base stoppers in the drivers or output devices... a recipe for disaster.

At +/-77v even assuming perfect regulation of the supply you will get 290w at 8 ohms, 580w at 4 ohms and 1160w at 2 ohms which of course is a fantasy.

The losses in the output stage become massive when driving 2 ohms sinewave.

with TIP41C and TIP 42C this power can work normally... I think this amp is different from the other amp. Gain is big, but this amp is low noise.... no hum. many people have tried. it's simple but powerfull. you will not believe until you try it yourself. sorry my english is not good

about tip 41 and 42

if you have a book of sloan there is a characteristics in these transistor that works perfectly well in a tripple output stage.and besides there is a vi limiter that is not included in the schematic which will be dissastrous to amp.if not implemented and run at 2ohms.

joel

"This amp has been tested by it's designers with SPICE software.. "

Which doesn't properly simulate the emission of smoke, that's an add-on plug-in.

Use a pair of the outputs as drivers.

The SOA of the TIP41/42 parts folds-back beyond 30V, at 80V it's 65W rating drops to only 24W (at 25°C), or about 5W in real life conditions.

Now a real pro amplifier with this kind of output triple will have more muscle. This amplifier runs on the same ±77V with 2KW of SOA at 100V in the output stage, and 210W SOA at 100V in the driver stage. The devices are rated at 200°C, not the plastic 150°C stuff. If you examine real-world junction operating temperatures in a pro amp you will find that 1KW of metal devices is about the same as 500W of plastic.

The SOA of twenty 5200/1943 is only 900W at 25°C, and in real operation will be well less than 1/4 than the eight outputs are in a real pro amplifier. (not to mention the drivers)

Also in Class H

This results from the scheme in the post 2

@ andrewlebon

Here You can see the latest development on this topic, The Class H rv4 is fully
in detail specified also.

Cheers

"greetings how good was this amp AB INTERNATIONAL 1200 C
power 800w 8 ohms 1350w 4 ohms 1950w 2 ohms "

That is a good amplifier.

The big AB amplifiers have zero-volt rail-switches to reduce dissipation on reactive loads without requiring extra transformer windings and rectifiers. A typical design might have ±0V, ±57V, and ±114V rails.
