Speaking of ... whatever it was we were speaking of, I was just listening to this about the discovery of new planet(oid)s beyond Pluto - "They've had absolutely no other discoveries before or since - they figured out what we were doing by looking at our website to see where our telescope was pointing..." (not an exact quote, but the gist)

At one of the first Rock concerts where I provided gear, the roadies were on the intercom, telling tales of sexual adventures. The old hand in the control room would let them finish and then ask "Is that all?" This quickly put an end to the antics.

Most recent analysis is that yes, A.E. did at least read his papers and get comments from his first wife, but analysis of their letters suggest her contributions were supportative. This is not light weight. He was proposing things that changed the world and she could understand and comment on them. That is probably more than their professors could. Co-author, or even be the inspiration, is not demonstrated in their personal papers.
