trying to bias the PD F5 board and when I reach .1V, the power supply voltage starts going down . when I reach .6v bias, the supply rails are reading about +- 9 V


any suggestions?

What have you added to the PSU and the mains feed that is dropping that voltage?

sorry andrew, newbie mistake, I had the lightbulb draining the Voltage.

removed lightbulb and all good now. biased to .614 and .600 with 0 offset

though seems to lack some gain on 89db speakers.

You can increase the gain by reducing the neg feedback (by increasing R5/R7 & R6/R8 from 2x100ohm to 2x200ohm and R1 & R2 from 10 ohm to 20 ohm)

the gain is set by the ratio of those resistors.

Changing both, as you have shown, leaves the ratio exactly the same, i.e. the gain is the same.
