I am offering a group buy for the ES9018 Reference Audio DAC PCBs. You can make your own very high performance ES9018 DAC using this PCB at home. This is a all-in-one DAC board with everything onboard including IV stage, pre-regulators, main regulators, separate AVCC buffers, isolated I2C interface, etc. The power supplies and IV stage can be bypassed if buyers wish to have their own IV stage and regulators. A single DAC board works in stereo configuration. Two dac boards can be used if buyers wish to have it in mono configuration. The DAC can be controlled using Arduino controller. Hello heartwinter, did you assemble a prototype of this design? Since being a complex board one would like to know if the design works. Without such a confirmation it would be wise spending time and money on assembling this given the difficulty of procuring ES9018 DAC chip in smaller quantities.
If you already have a prototype done and tested then please post the pictures of the assembled board.

shouldnt decoupling be a LOT closer in order to ermm... decouple? why only one GND connection for i2s?
As I spent last few days setting up account with Ismosys and negotiating the shipping prices of ES9018 (successfully) and datasheet availability, I may be interested in couple of the boards, if there would be possibility of some price discount for them ;-)

A group buy is where interest is sought, once a certain number have signed up, then a quantity of boards are odered and distributed (at or close to cost). This is clearly commercial. The mini dac can take three inputs USB, SPDIF and I2S signals which can be switched digitally using a single three way switch. The USB receiver is PCM2707 and the SPDIF digital receiver is WM8804. Very nice. I'll buy a complete fully assembled unit. I can't surface mount all those components without driving me nuts.
