so for a powersupply of +/- 85vlts it is safe to use the irfp360 instead of irfp260 with this circuit
For +/- 85V IRFB4229 should much better.

Not really. I'm writing it for the 100th time like many other members: an old, high voltage MOSFET has slow body diode which makes it a bad solution in such a simple output stage. IRF360 has a Qrr of 5.6 uQ, and high channel resistance, so it's a really bad MOSFET for this circuit!
I said you should choose the LOWEST voltage rated device which meets the requirement!
I can't find that core (mictometal iron powder 130-2) in my contry 🙁.
Can I somehow use different core, or PC core with different wire and windings, enything else.
Thanks

yes!! that is super ok ,for 17uH 23 turns 1.2/1.5mm wire made off 12....15x0.1mm wire(home made litz)
Hi Dzony988,you can use pc core with gap (i use a stone cutter with 11krpm to make 1mm gap)
can that core survive if the amp supply is +/- 75vlts thanks
i've heard of irfb but not available where i am thats why i am asking of irfp260or360,460
You can pick up irfb4227 at Farnell United Kingdom | world-leading distributor of electronic and maintenance, repair and operations products.
Or RS Components | Electronic and Electrical Components
I use irfb4019 as these are low gate capacitance yet will still drive 17 amps.
do they deliver if you are in another continent i.e africa, n what about their prices irfp 260 goes for about 1pound here how about the irfb prices are they competitive like the chinese.

They are both international companies.
IRFB4019 is just over a pound each.
RS has no minimum order charge.
Farnell min. order is £20.
On this link you have interesting information about toroid cores

Core form PC and from my picture (2.7 x 1.4 x 1.1cm) is actually IRON POWDER CORE 106-26 yellow-white (Al= 900uH/100turns)
Now I do not understand this calculation for 20uH coil and this core
N=100(L/Al)^1/2
=100(20/900)^1/2
=100(0.02222)^1.2= 15 turns
Why 17uH on this core has 23 turns and gap of 1mm????
But I made 23 turns with gap core (in atached pictures), wire that i use is 2x0,8mm

Al is officially nH/turn^2.
Because gap makes Al lower.
BTW: at high supply voltage this still will be hot.
