btw . regarding F4 related preamps - for my knowledge Impasse ( SY's) and are only made with F4 as slave ...... preferably in balanced mode , when two F4s are needed ;
there was one transitional type in few threads , made in collaboration of several wakoo DiyAs ( Metalman and few others ) , and according to my fuzzy memory - that was Jfet iteration of cascoded , CCS loaded , CCS in tail , SUSY- BOSOZ , with altered gain

but - you can always make balanced amp later

Another fluffy forum member and yours truly, matched the Pumpkin with an Aleph a couple of weeks ago.
It sure was a fine match, so I would expect the F5 to be happy with it as well.
