Anyone from Berkeley or passing through, willing to pick up John Curl and bring him to the show?
We need another decent CD player and/or SACD player, If you have one bring it, or mention it here and we will sort out which to bring.
I can bring in my Shanling CD-T80 if that is a suitable player for the purpose.
I will come from east bay and could give John a ride if needed.

I can bring a modified Playstation 1 that I think is as good as some really good CD players.

I checked the Sausalito Weekend Ferry schedule and it leave at 10:40 AM and Google maps makes it look almost walkable to the site. Is it walkable anyone know of public transportation or cab service down to the Yacht Club?

Google maps shows walking as 2.1 miles. With fair weather, that walk has some great views, if you have the time. There are some mild inclines on that route. You can take a bicycle on the Sausalito ferry.
You could call a local taxi company

and arrange a pickup to save waiting.
Anyone have a twisted pair buffalo or some other dac they can bring? My buffalo works but has hiccups.
And if anyone has spare speaker cables they could bring, great. I have some old funky ones otherwise.

I have a OPPO BDP 83 that could be used as a comparison transport for CDs / SACD / DVD-A. It plays everything. Has Analogue and digital outs. Supports HDMI if desired.
Let me know if you would like it for a reference player.

My word, how'd I miss this thread? I have a HK CD player with me. I also have my amp with one channel up and running. Looks like quite a crowd attending. Nice. Arrived today, staying at Holiday Inn Express in Mill Valley. Look forward to meeting my DIY buddies!
