Richardson Electronics IRFP044 Group buy

This page has been set up to log peoples intrest in taking part in the group buy for the IRFP044 MOSFETS being used mainly for Aleph-X construction with Chad's boards.

If you are seriously intrested in tking part in this group buy, please add your name, location and number of MOSFETs you require onto the list below and then update the total so people can see how things are going. I think these are supposed to be costing $0.90 if there is enough intrest (but this will need to be confirmed by the person organising the group buy).

Ok...this is the deal, thanks to bzo we have discovered that the cost per unit on the IRFP044 is $0.87 each, but with a minimum order of 350. I will get a firm quote on Monday and lead time from Richardson Electronics for the interest generated over the weekend of March 20-21. I will leave the group order open till April 1st before ordering(!!!!UPDATE!!!! THE GROUP ORDER IS NOW CLOSED DUE TO AVAILABILITY ISSUES) and I will probably ask for payment by PayPal or US money order. Shipping quotes will come a little closer to the closing date.

A few things to note, I'll only ship US postal service to keep it simple this end, if someone has to have the shipping expidited I'll need a couple of days to get back to you with a quote.

There will be no matching of devices and I suggest that prospective buyers order in quantities of 50 as that is how they will be shipped from IR, usually this means that each batch of 50 will be from the same substrate and will possibly make picking devices easier for the end user. I will most likely order some extras for late orders. Lastly for the newbies to amplifier construction search the website for details on how to match devices.

OK gents, we how have a big enough order. Problem is going to be, how long will it take to get them? Richardson lists these parts as out of stock. Since the order is so big and split so many ways, it should be no problem to get them shipped FedEx? to the coordinator and a cheaper method of distribution to the individuals.
