A well-respected kit; it totals about $260 with basic parts + MDF. Designed by Danny Ritchie, who is a very friendly guy and a frequent forum contributor (he has his own GR-Research forum on AudioCircle
?, for one). The two drivers used in the AV-1 are designed by him as well, I believe, and are well-praised.
The kit includes all of the parts you'll need except the cabinet; you can buy those in various states of assembly as well. The Sonicap upgrade is recommended; the Blackhole upgrade is optional and somewhat debated (PartsExpress
? damping sheets + mattress foam stuff seems to do the trick). Search the forums for more information about those.
This is available shielded to put it near a TV/monitor.
