Hi LC,
Now maybe we can go on with the long awaited enclosures 😀
cheers
Yes, yes, I remember my promise. The problem is that I need at least 20 cases or more as confirmed order, otherwise my producer won't even start the production (his words).

So these metal cases orders would really be a serious stuff to start with, I don't need any new problems in my life which I don't have now.

Only firm, advanced payed orders would come in to consideration.

So the killer question... When can we buy some modules? 😀
Congrats on the reviews, you deserve it!

Thanks, you're too kind. 🙂
Well I don't know about the First One amp modules, what should I do with it. 🙄
I can only tell you that the First One (with a proper power supply) is a real killer amp, so transparent and dynamic that blows your mind, no limits regarding resolution.

Lazy Cat,I did ask you for the price of the case never get any answer from you regarding that.Did ask you cause I maybe needed 10 cases if the price is right.
Complete silver metal case for VSSA+SMPS400A180 would come closely to 260 EUR + packaging + shipment costs. 😉
Warm cozy "soldering iron off mode" audio chatter this evening i enjoy. Andrej your words in post #2741, i wish/hope
will let you breathe and enjoy life 🙂.
If someone not seen the "VSSA 50" thread here is a link to post #44 looking under the hood of First One in prestage with nice huge PSU's (Link: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/239708-vssa-50-a-5.html#post3598917), going backwards in that thread can discover more teasers when First One was born.

Congratulations for the successful show appearance Lazy Cat

I can only vote for VSSA as being the most successful and best sounding GB project of the year. And i am saying this with the confidence of a true GB maniac 😀

Hi LazyCat,
Pinnocchio just let me know that there may still be some VSSA boards available. Can I get 4 boards (2 amps)? Please let me know the process.
Thank you very much.

Yesterday i started building my VSSA and discovered that pcb should be in full and close contact with Alfet. Is that ok for the other components, mainly capacitors are my concern.
Hi atupi
Installation manual describes exactly how components should be mounted. All parts are firmly in close contact to PCB. VAS transistors T5, T6 have 2 mm plastic spacers between them and PCB. Mechanically is very compact module when all assembled.
Regards L.C.

Hi Andrej,
i understand very well how to mount everything but my concern is that pcb is in very good thermal contact with Alfet. Is not bad for the other components that they are more or less in contact with the power transistor ?

Having completed the stereo amp recently, I can say that VSSA certainly does not lack bass, au contraire, with my small test power supply I feared my Paradigm Monitors would be dissassembled by some double-bass lines 😱
Now I have to build the case for it 🙁
A thousand thanks to LC for his generosity in sharing!
Cheers,
M.
PS: which Vishay 10uF film cap is the recommended, again?

Hi LC,
Just in case you decide to sell some modules to the nice DIY community that we are, I'm adding my name to the list.
Pinnocchio = 2 Stereo sets
Thanks

I saw those cases from Lazy cat: amazing work, and worth the every cent. I was browsing over net some time, and didn't find anything even close to that.
Also, I've been on that hifi show, and Andrej did very good job, his amps was or are really impresive, best on show.
