Inside...
The 30k resistor (in schema) seems 10-100 x too low? Caps are cheap X2 type... Arne K

330uf seems a little big for coupling to a grid. Maybe try 1uf or even 10uf at the most.

What about the grid, pin 7 ? It is not connected anywhere...

The 30k resistor is bootstrapped so that it seems like it's really about mu times bigger. Arne: The connections look fine. The suppressor grid is attached to the cathode internally and is accessed by pin 2.

Right...looking at datasheet, pin 7 and 2 are internal connected...
I will try better caps, and a smaller for input. I still find it strange with the 30k, as signal passes easily thrugh when powered off... Arne K

You could make it larger if you wanted, but with power on, the input impedance is something like half a meg, so why bother?

Thanks!
Just starting to (sort of) understand a cathode-follower... Arne K

BTW, do not waste your hard-earned on this...in stock form, u get as good/bad performance as adding any cheap cap on the signal-line...(I found mine very cheap on ebay).
