The finish is fine sand paper, and Polyurethane varnish 2 coats...
For the lettering I use decals from Antique Electronics Supply,
I don't know if they still sell these products. Once the letters applied
with pressure of a pen, then the plate gets 2 coats of Polyurethane
to seal and protect. {gives a nice look!}

There is also the same chassis for the separated power supplys.. a lot
of aluminium work ahead!!

The first channel power supply's,
The PS for the second channel will be on the upper plate.
All Regulated PS's on 1 channel:
Transfo 320VA custom from sumr.com
B+ = 250 V Mosfet IRFP450 adjustable voltage with CCs on
Supertex DN2470 replacing zeners {Adjust 190..270 volts}
Driver = 420 V Mosfet IRFBC30 adjustable voltage with CCs on
IXCP10M45s replacing zeners {Adjust 400..450 volts}
Preamp = 200 V Mosfet IRF840 adjustable voltage with CCs on
IXCP10M45s replacing zeners {Adjust 170..230 volts}
6C33C-B = 12.6 DC heater Regulated with Linear LT1083 and relay with resistor
0.5 Ohms for startup ; voltage adjustable too...
6SN7's = 12.6V compound regulated LM 317 with 1 Ohm serial adjustable
Components from Linear & Supertex were gifts on sample request.

Ah, finaly a guy that want to have it finnish quickly!
It's intresting, at least I am like this, when I am doing a project my self I take the time I like, but when others are doing it I would that they finnish in a hurry so that I can se the result. Strange...
