just wondering, can you try dirrect output from DAC to Aikido preamp without opamp ? I wondering how sound could be and possibility a 6sn7 tube as sutitute opamp

I somehow got unsubscribed from this thread, but I have not tried DAC out direct to Akido, but think you would need a series cap to get the DC out. correct?

I am playing with another DAC (a Behringer DQX2496) and using a transformer instead of the opamps on output....

There are some SMD caps already on the PCB. You could either tap the signal off these or take it off the input end and use better caps to carry the ac signal to the Aikido input.

If you have a diagram of the board then it's pretty straightforward to figure out.

I have done direct dac to aikido using 6n1p and 6n6p tubes. Works great... The key is to play with the input resistor.
