I just picked up a pair of sealed enclosures that have dimension of 13.5" wide x 16.25" deep x 27.75" height - these are 1 1/4 mdf thick . Can someone please suggest some 10" that would work well in these cabinets. thanks.

Hi,

:2c: I found 2 Drivers that IMO should suit your Boxes for Sub use if properly Ported:

In closed(~ Net. Vol.=60L/f-3dB= ~51Hz) or ported boxes(Net. 52L, Port Vol.=~ 8.8L, Port Area= 110cm^2, Length=80 cm +Bw4 HPF at ~30Hz)....Rec.#2

Wow, i really appreciate the help. I am kind of leaning toward the Creative Sound Solutions SDX10 as the cutout hole is an exact match for the cabinets though the frame is a little large than the recessed frame on my cabinets which is 10- 5/8". Not sure how to make it fit yet.

What do you think about the Scan-Speak Discovery 26W/8534G 10" Aluminum Cone Woofer -which is a drop in replacement as far as fitting go: The Madisound Speaker Store

Thanks

Scanspeak Discovery 26W/8534G 10"

So i take it as a big thumb up?
It's acceptable. If you're ready for the ~41Hz/F3. It may work nicely with the room gain. (This in relation to the low fr. extension only.) Two (62L) sealed speakers might give a good punch. :)
