JoshK don't think twice about Faital Pro I will be using them as soon as the plans are available, I think they are the best now from Italy built wise and reliability and sound wise. I have heard them in double 18" BR cabinet in Miami from a sound company last year for a Band/DJ show, it ran flawlessly for 18 hours continuously all night till morning (18XL1600).;)

No TH_1819 build ? with 18XL1600 driver it is still one of the best subwoofers I have ever heard :)

Hi ZivkoF, I am still 50-50 because the Faital 18FH500 price can't be beat it is a very good design for the output. I like the 1819 for it's size and simple build, still looking for a better driver since the 18FH500 may not be strong enough for the rigors of PA use. Any other suggestion like the faital 18HP1060 driver would this work to 30Hz? Since this is a stronger woofer than the 18FH500 for the TH1819? thanks!

Hi djlivex,

the Faital 18HP1060 will work just great to 30Hz as at 2Pi sensitivity is 96,51 dB @ 1w/1m and SPL it is only down -6,63 dB @ 20Hz (89,88 dB) and SPL is 97,32 dB at 60Hz.

FreeCAD is fantastic! A bit buggy but very very nice to work with.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Good work. I just watched a youtube video of someone using this software, and I have to say it looks to be quite a pain to use. Sketchup is still free and there are plenty of tutorials to get you going.

Pretty soon I will post new CAD drawings by request from Robert in Canada. Until then, here is a Hornresp record for a cabinet 1200 mm high, 900 mm deep and 600 mm wide.

This is a very appealing folding solution from a DIY perspective, just as elegant as it is simple, just rotate a square within a square, brilliant, I have been toying with the idea to have the driver access in the angled mouth panel thus adding a bit of length (roughly 400mm in the 15" case) to the horn, the box will become bigger if everything else stays the same so some tweaking is in order should one pursuit that idea.

I know this has been our for a while now, but it still is worth attention in my opinion, thanks for sharing.
