In Maryland it was quite a ride for about 10 seconds. The building I was in felt like the inside of a subwoofer!

Apparently that Nuclear power station that got knocked out is built to withstand a 6.0 earthquake.. what was the magnitude?

Pretty lucky, it was v close to its limit.
I've got a housemate from Fukushima prefecture and he has to go back home in 3 weeks; he's none too happy about it.

Felt it at work. The whole building swayed back & forth. The blinds were bouncing off the windows. We had repeated aftershocks. I even felt it going down the steps & in the parking lot.

I live in orange county NY which is about 50 miles north of NY city and I did not feel a thing. I was watching TV at the time.

However, most others in my town did feel the quake and even evacuated some public buildings, etc.......very strange.
