I made a sub using Seas l26 roy driver + hypex ds2.0 amp to extend the bass of Genelec 8030's. Here's a link to full worklog + couple of images.

Looks great! Nice project.
The Genelecs are ported so are you just using thier natural roll off (should be 24db/octave) without any additional electronic high pass? |

It looks very good! Nice job!
I also used leather finish in my project. The acrylic finish is an idea that I might use in a future project. Another way to avoid the painting which I don't like to do

Thanks!
I'm using the built in 85hz roll off switch and made a similar setting to Hypex crossover. Genelecs and this subwoofer are connected directly to my external firewire soundcard. So this is pc sound system, not connected to av amplifier etc. First I tried using Genelecs full range and Hypex crossover around 50hz but sub didn't integrate good enough. |

Very nice work, but in the interest of cosmetics you covered the plate amp's only cooling surface with a perspex insulator. Those amps don't get very hot being efficient Class-D, but nonetheless the manufacturer does use the aluminium plate as a the sole radiator for the output transistors.
