Default SKA GB150D now public domain...

Hi all,

Greg Ball has decided to release the schematic and BOM to the public.

http://www.ska-audio.com/Forum/YaBB.pl?num=1370063142

I have one and still really like it. Small tweaks have evolved over time over at the SKA forum.

This is undoubtedly one of the very best amplifiers I ever heard!

I remember a thread on here about it where some were trying to guess the schematic as Greg released only a simplified version, suggesting it couldn't sound good for various reasons, particularly in the highs. That turned out to be wrong...

A lot of elite diy amp designs here at diyAudio. It is time for Greg Ball to release
a new amp design for 2013.

Can anyone post the schematics here?

I canīt register on SKA forum, becuase it accepts only 5 predefined email providers.

Thanks.

Default BC556C

The BC556C are obsolete parts and very hard to find. The B grades are unsuitable because of their lower gain and the BC560C are only usable if the rails are kept below 40V. Therefore, it would be usefull if someone could come with a good replacement for them.

Thank you for your answers.

KSC1845/KSA992 seem to be a good alternative if the E grades can be found.

I really like this amplifier, one of the best I built.
