Studio Reference Amplifier

use the standard Power Guide.
Maximum output power ~ total device Pmax divided by 4 to 6.
For low voltage into a 4ohms speaker use 4 to 5.
5pr of 150W (a1943/c5200), gives Pmax = 1500W. Divide this by 5 to give 300W into 4ohms.

Using 5pr of 250W devices (mj21193/4) with good high voltage SOA, the Pmax = 2500W.
Giving 500W into 8ohms. A very different amplifier resulting from using a very different output device.

Why is forgotten such a Semelab`s MG6330/6331/6333 and compliment parts MG9410/9411/9413?
They are far better than MJ(L) On-Semis.
I can`t compare the incomparable - 2SA/2SC devices have a different nature, compared to the MJ(L). For example: they are already 10*times lower Ft.
But ON produces better devices than MJ(L) ;)

sr200 studio refer.

oh sorry i see more circuits and i worked on many amplifiers this days and i am confused.i have make nmos200.QUASI'S NMOS200 - YouTube and elektor. "Giesberts HEXFET AMP" hexfet amplifier - YouTube yesterday so......
This morning i make PCB for yours sr 200 studio ref. version with 2sa1216.....2sc2922.:) DSC06447.jpg

Well "I" preferred SR200 compared to my Symasym and DXmkIII, the Sr200 has tight/speed bass and clearly emphasizing mid/high. I cannot claim it's better than the rest since everyone of us has it's own opinion and after all our EARS are the judge. I'm building VSSA of Andrej and will make a comparison too.
