I design and make a curve tracer for computer
with software support you can measure all BJT,FET,3-termination regulator ,diode . And show their V/I ,Vgs-Id / Hfe-Ic curve tracer on Computer the architecture as follows ![]() With this architecture ,I just only use a 40V power supply and cheap unipolarity AD/DA converter. the software can measure 4 value: Ib/Ic/Vbe/Vce.You can define tracer's X/Y axis with some expression. Example BJT's Hfe-Ic curve tracer ,you can define X axis is "Ic",Y axis is "Ic/Ib". then will show a Hfe-Ic curve . as follows is measure 2SC3281/2N3773/2N3772/2SC3519/3DD15/DD01/2N3055/2SC2914 hfe-Ic curve ![]() with hfe-Ic curve ,you can compare who is more linear. from hfe-Ic curve you can exact match BJT/FET device. ![]() as follows is measure 8 pairs 2SK1058/2SJ162 Vgs-Id curve tracer ![]()

Are you interested in offering a version (in english) as a kit or built? I would be interested in getting one.

Wow, that looks really cool - good job!
I haven't seen any DIY data acquisition software. Maybe there is a someone around who speaks both Chinese and English? Thanks for sharing!

Locky_z,
This is a very nice project. Maybe I can help you translate the software and write a simple manual. My wife speaks Chinese, and many friends at work do too. Send me a private mail here if you are interested. |

I would be interested in building something like this. Translating the UI text from Chinese to English is a simple task. Will you offer a DIY kit?

In this case I start some weeks ago this thread
Curve Tracer and modelling for spice (Pspice) simulaion - which Measurement System? was this the motivation for you to offer this? is it possible to get also p-Spice parameter to verify the values of manufacturers? How expensive is your kit in china ? Last edited by tiefbassuebertr; 15th December 2009 at 01:21 PM. |

Where are you located in China. I live in Hong Kong and go to Guangzhou very often. Perhaps I can help to translate your manuel to English.

The (user?) manual is easy, you have to change all his software as well so that all the manual on the computer screen appears as English. That is a lot more work.
