0.28K/W is for 70-80C rise. that way the can look better on paper

if one use 3 pc pr side. it is down to 0.16C/W pr side. given 0.5C/W pr pc.
that will do for alephX and aleph2

Thanks all for kind words

My Aleph X is on +/-20V and I have 4mosfets per side, 8 per channel...giving like 60W on 8Ohm...
I have forgot all the data, because it was long ago..there was some spreadsheet to calculate voltage, mosfet dissipation, over desired wattage.

Don't know, but I think I have like 1A on mosfets...

so the bank of 4mosfets were dissipating like 75W and it was to much for one heat sink as it gets like 65* in winter...
I could run some air over it...but didn't

I change concept and decide to build some active loudspeakers and use aleph to drive drivers

here are one picture of loudspeakers in background ..don't mind the PC in front
(by the way...this is newer ending proces..ggrrrrrrrr)

Click the image to open in full size.

First I tought to drive bass driver with Aleph X (as it was already build) but it doesn't make sene to use A class for it...

Default My F5 monos

Hello,
here you go the pictures of my F5 monoblocks.

Heatsinks by Gorini Dissipatori. Model 7078/200, and 5306/100 for the diode bridges.
Copper and alu parts from a local locksmith, very unexpensive.
Trafos by Toroidy.pl. 300VA audio grade.
Had to use an unofficial PCB because of the form factor.
Mosfets matched by Hannes (h_a on this forum). Thanks Hannes !
Front panel is a stone slab with a onyx eye, backlighted by a led.
Mills and Holco resistors from hificollective, other stuff from Mouser.

With two CL60 thermistors in series with the trafo's primary, I don't get any bump at power on.
The signal path is very short. The amplifiers run dead quiet, with no hum or buzz. Temperature of the heatsinks is about 42C with a 0,590V bias.

A perfect match for my pair of Troels Gravesen's DTQWTs .
Many thanks to diyaudio for all the info, and to mr. Pass, the one and only.

Cheers. Carlo
