TO-220/247, TO3P packaging probably limits FR

by using RF packaging and metal gate mosfets you could extend loop gain intercept and audio frequency feedback factor by 10X - assuming single pole compensation

of course I don't know why you'd bring that to Nelson's attention given his apparant lack of interest in high feedback designs

When I talked to experienced tube amp designers, they refused to think about using power MOSFETs because of their large non-linear input capacitance. Of course, an experienced designer could deal with any parts, but at expence of some compromise. What is proposed in this thread, is just a step towards less compromise design.

Seems to me you could build some major watts per cubic inch class D with those rf devices. The output choke would be so small.....
