No, i added the 500VA Selectronic to give a size comparison image.
The Selectronic R-cores are made in India, Proton had theirs manufactured in Taiwan.
The Proton amps weren't half bad in the '80s and '90s, the one sold at THL belongs to an AM-S3 model.

The air ticket to Holland for the number i bought would have amounted enough to choke me.
As an exception, THL was willing to send them by boat, cost little dollars for such a heavy box, but took many months to arrive.

Whenever i need something from Selectronic, i drive over to get them, only a couple of spares (rewired two of these for the Bruno amps)

Wish I could do that as well...
They once shipped us a bunch of R-Cores, some of which arrived broken. They never replied to our emails regarding replacement and/or refund. I'm sure I would have driven over to have a word with them if that was possible... :D

Too bad they're the only "reliable" source for a variety of R-Cores..
