My Transistors, original or copy?

Hi !

Anyone ever heard about the MULTICOMP manufacturer ?

I was looking for originals MJ15003 and 2N3773 and I found this manufacturer on the Farnell Store in Brazil

They are around 30% cheaper than On Semi, here the datasheet http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/313115.pdf

This quote is form 2015. Wondering if people have been using Multicomp semiconductors and if they are good. I've purchased various Multicomp parts with no issues, but have not used their semiconductors..

Multicomp gets their stuff from several sources. For Motorola/On power transistors, they get them from Mospec. Mospec has been around for long time. They may not always be as good as a real ON Semi device, but they will meet the original spec. Original Motorola/On will often exceed the spec. I’ve blown Mospec devices running them beyond ratings, where the old NOS Motorola’s will hold up. Of course you’re not supposed to do that. I’ve cracked a lot of them open over the years, and the die sizes are comparable to the originals and they do have a proper internal heat spreader.

Used Old Stock

I was looking for some power BJT for my experiment with Nelson Pass's New Stasis. I was thinking of the 2SA1943/2SC5200 when I bumped into these "Dismantling original 10PCS 2SA1302+10PCS 2SC3281 A1302 C3281" on Ali for 20 bucks a bag. I was curious, so I ordered 2 bags and received them fast.

They look a bit rough, of course, they're pull's, but they appear to be genuine. They all test good, and I was able to cook up 3 complementary triplets (3x3x2) with a Vbe match of about 1% and Hfe match of 4% by playing with the driver.

A interesting alternative.

Hi jfetter,
Destroy the fakes before they creep into your projects. I know it seems like a waste, but without knowing what they really are all you have is a bag of liabilities.

The mallet is strangely therapeutic. Give it a try. Not unless you have a vise and want to see if you can squeeze any electrons out. :)

Just guessing what CCS IC was used here.
It would fit the LM317 bill with the resistor attached to the right pins, but with a 27K resistor used, this wouldn't work out well I think.
Someone know which OP amp regulator IC was used here?

FQA12P20 / FQA19N20 - real or fake?

I have found some FQA12P20 / FQA19N20 at a small german diy electronics shop. They might be NOS or fake - i don't know yet. Problem ist that i got no proven-to-be-original devices for reference. I attached pictures of them.

I also measured them with my Mega328. N-Channel devices show a Vt of 4.5V, P-Channel devices measured Vt is ~3V.

What do you think about this transistors? Possibly real or most likely fake?
