I called Toroid Corp. and they had no idea what it would cost to build a new tranny.
It would be a custom one off unit, and they could only do this through "reverse engineering", as there is no data available anywhere on my current 1kva unit.
I can't even find a tech who will do a simple remove / replace procedure.
We have searched all over the place with no luck.

Similar kudos for Antec - I've used both their power and audio output transformers and am very pleased with both. One great feature of most toroidal transformers is that you can easily add extra windings, if needed...within reason. I wanted to use one of Antec's 700VCT units with a tube rectifier but there was no 5v winding for the filament...about 17 turns of teflon-insulated 18AWG wire did the trick!

You know, that's a good point -- for the Impasse preamplifier I used a transformer from Allied with a center tap so that the 6.3VAC heater could be raised above DC ground -- you could do the same with the toroids from Antec. One of my LM4780 bridged amps uses a DIY winding to drive a small fan.
