I've no idea Is that crazy vertical horn original? What's that all about?
Yes. It's the EV HT-350D
These Cabinets are shot, yes but I sealed them up W/Leak Sealant, Undercoat rubber & some heat. After I sealed them up I drug them out of the garage & into the living room.
This is where I heard the EV-high(HT-350) & mid horns (HD350d come to life. These are the horns it has crossed over @ 700HZ
I have 1 missing 10" speaker. I have the original woofers 1-10" & 2-12". These are
original. Yes I do want them done with 1.5" MDF. Then I want to brace them. I have all new crossover parts & I am going to replace the crossover board. Does the Front Baffle come off hard.?? I wanted to mirror the boxes????

I remember those from the 70's. Remember that the design existed before the Thiele/Small parameters revolutionized speaker design. So you really would need to run Bass Box or WinISD .7 to determine to cabinet size for such woofer a combination. Of course, you won't have the T/S parameters for those old woofers. I think you would do better with a more modern woofer, in a modeled T/S design, and like it a lot more.

I've never heard that metal midrange horn, but it was succeeded by a fiberglass version the same size which I used to have..... one of he honkiest sounding speaker drivers I've run into.
It was the 70's. No computers; no computer designs. No Thiele Small.
We did have ears, and that horn was nasty
I salivated over them for awhile. About 8 years later I built a Goldsound Kit.
...done with 1.5” MDF...
You’d be better off with well-braced 18mm quality plywood. MidHorn would likely work better if horizontal (and lots of ductseal on the back, those could be nasty)

Your words interest me partner. Those are the original woofers. 2-12" and 1-10". I was using a Zenith 49-1240 26332 2857425. Just hoping I could get by with that. It sounded about or close to the original as I could get (I just went by looks, weight & hole
fit).
Right now the price for those 10" woofers are now 90+> on ebay or any other place. I'm going to keep them. Right now, I have 2-HT-350's & 2-HD-350d's. 4-woofers are in question.
They crossover at 700hz. Thats a big load for the horns but I don't know ANYTHING about horns. My first pair & I'm
going to finish them up. I think MDF but I hear a grumble from other members. I always thought with that sealant they put on they looked WAY to close together.
A peace of paper is all you could get between HD-350d & 10" woofer. I would really love to stain the front but......I will try to put in pics of the 10" woofer I substituted

I have the Horns to complete the job. These were free.
Now I have the new parts for the crossover. All Film for
the Caps. I'm talking to a carpenter discussing prices.
Now for the woofers. There hooked up in parallel
& what I've read it works the 12" to resonate the 10".
Since I'm keeping the speakers, I'm asking if the newer woofers may
be better??.

I finally got my S7's back. Done with 3/4" Birchwood MDF
The only thing is when they put one of the EV-HD350's, The
Negative & Positive posts fell off. I know they have gaskets
in them. I sent pics so if anybody has experience with EV
Drivers like these, I would love to know. Thanks in advance.
